STORIES & LEGENDS

Did you know our class has a time capsule? It's true! It's still buried and still lost somewhere near a convent we all use to know!

7/31/02 - From Larry Johnson regarding "Greg Borden at Agamemnon": "I remember the trip. We visited Lynchy's relative beforehand in Southy and then proceeded to the one room playhouse where we sat in a circle on the floor. Bo Bo's performance was better than the not ready for prime time actors."

7/23/02 - Here's a response to "Larry's Hidden Cider" (SEE BELOW) from Jimmy Quaglia: "The truth is that way before the big guys were marketing hard cider, Larry (w/ me as a willing partner) would prepare several gallons at a whack. Some was stashed under the attick floorboards of his parents house. They found it. Most of the rest was buried in the woods along Peckham Street (that's right, the dump road) in Attleboro. I got so tired of looking for it that Margo and I eventually built a house in the Pike Ave area to shorten the trek. Seriously, some of the brew endend up (via thermos) at Feehan in the 3rd floor boys lav during our senior year... and yes, Father Brian tried some. Believe it or not!"

6/6/02 - This question in from Bob L'Homme: "Did Brendan really knock out two kids with one punch?"

5/25/02 - Here's a question from someone who asked to remain anonymous: "Does anyone remember Greg B. at Agamemnon in Boston?" (We don't know what this means but it sounds classy!)

5/23/02 - We received these thoughts & reflections today from Jean Simard:

"Okay, I got to thinking about BFHS '77 history. So far, I have come to this:

Hip hugger bell bottoms were the coolest, especially if the "bells" covered your entire foot.

Wearing printed polyester shirts with plaid uniform, ie: resembling the ensemble of "Wild and Crazy Guys" from SNL. What "were" we thinking??

Going to Eileen Ashes for float parties, only how many of us ever stuffed paper flowers into chicken wire.

BFHS Friday night Marx Brothers/3 Stooges Movie Marathons.

Saturday night dances at BFHS and grooving to Aerosmith's "Train Kept a Rolling" and Led Zepplin's "Stairway to Heaven". Oh, and ""Smoke on the Water"....who did this tune?? I've gotta blank!

Sr. Vincent and Sr. Virginia in the candy store. Snickers and Certs!

Selling elevator tickets to innocent Freshmen.

1975 law lowering legal voting and drinking age to 18 years. How excited we were to finally vote! Yeah, right."

5/22/02 - We received one question today asking us about the whereabouts of "Larry's hidden apple cider"—a "treasure" buried by Larry many years ago. Here's the response from Larry:

"Good question. If the buried cider hasn't yet been discovered its potency will easily surpass anything we imbibed in high school."
